We began Aera Gear one day over coffee and kaya toast, after months of long talks in humble Singapore.

We built Aera Gear for the people who move between worlds – the meeting room, the gym, the airport, the street – without slowing down.
We looked at every consumer EDC company on the market and saw the same compromise: beautiful or functional, never both. Having been in both corporate office jobs and entrepreneurial careers, we felt this deep gap ourselves. The sleek ones couldn’t hold a gym kit. The practical ones killed your outfit. Nobody had solved it — so we did.
Aera Gear was built on a single belief: everyday carry should be as refined as it is functional. Not just for work. Not just for active exercise. Its about a lifestyle around quality — engineered for the pace of modern life, designed to move with quiet confidence.
Aera is the ancient Greek word for “air” and “wind”, as well as the old Latin word for “era” and “epoch”. Our designs are geared towards you. We want to craft sincere products that serve as timeless companions for the active urban soul.

Our products must be useful and value-adding to our customers. We are incessant about how functional every has to be, we want these expressions to be sincere additions to our (& your) lifestyle, real things that we would use ourselves.
Our very first SKU took 26 months of R&D. From our custom vegan leather straps to our in-house designed ergonomic cushion back panel — built for breathability, support, and all-day range.
Great design stirs something inside us. Every choice and restraint we take, is geared towards serving the user of our products, echoing an affirmation with every use.
The amount of time taken, and number of prototypes we cycle through is honestly insane. We know that truthful pursuit, shines quietly.
It takes us an enormous amount of discipline to strip away or combine elements ‐ so that what is left in our designs, turn ordinary everyday usage into satisfying “heck-yeahs”.
Sincere engineering begins with choice materials. We believe our products can be felt, especially down to the touch. This means putting an enormous amount of exploration, budget, and experimentation in all our components, to achieve quality.
We went through countless catalogues from different suppliers to choose the right combination of components like 600D water-resistant fabric; Custom vacuum PVD stainless steel hardware; Industry-strength YKK zippers; Animal-free vegan leather; Every material is chosen for a reason. Nothing is decorative without also standing the test of our persistence.
